- 9:00am – Intercessory Prayer Time

Sunday School is involved in the study of God’s Word, the Bible. The ladies class uses Beth Moore, a noted Christian speaker/writer as well as other Christian authors. The couples class studies individual books of the Bible and relates the study to everyday life.
Our worship is traditional, we believe the hymns of the past and music are important and should never be forgotten. We incorporate new music which is Biblical, devotional, and inspiring. We include traditional aspects in worship along with developing a spontaneous fellowship.
We spend time welcoming and greeting all who come, call to worship, include prayer time remembering our church family, friends and any brought up as needing prayer. We have a time for giving tithes and offerings to use in the church for salaries, missions, benevolence, and needs of maintaining the church properties.
The choir presents an anthem each week followed by the pastor preaching sermons which are Biblical, thematic, and subject related. Following the sermon an invitation is extended to any who may be led to make a decision for Christ.
Our church is nestled between towns of Chimney Rock and Lake Lure in the beautiful state of North Carolina.

The church was organized July 7, 1872 and met in a log school house on Rock Creek. The church was disbanded about 1902 when it was last mentioned in the Association’s minutes. Many of its members united with Whiteside Valley Baptist Church around 1892.
In May 1926 the church was sold to Carolina Mountain Power due to the Lake Lure dam being built. On August 29, 1928, the Whiteside Valley church became Chimney Rock Baptist, and is still located on that site.
The first parsonage was built in 1945. The second parsonage which has been used as a youth and guest quarters is still at its original site on church street. The present parsonage was built in 1967 on land given to the church.
The church building was completely remodeled and redecorated in 2005.
